Paris Auto Show Coverage: 2007 Porsche 911 Targa Photo Gallery
Porsche's Targa has come a long way from its 1966 origins with its removable roof section above the front seats. As part of Porsche's proliferation of 911 models, there's two new Targas; the Targa 4 with the 911's standard 3.6-liter 325-horsepower six while the Targa 4S ups the ante with a 3-8-liter six with 355-horsepower. Both models features standard four-wheel-drive mated to a flare-fendered body with a power operated, retractable all-glass roof with a power-operated sunshade, offering owners a convertible experience without a retractable roof. The opening is a full five feet, with the glass sliding under the rear window which also hinges up for rear compartment access when the roof is in the closed position.
